Alexander Idrisov

President, Strategy Partners Group

Alexander Idrisov is a founder and the President of Strategy Partners Group – the leading Russian strategy advisory firm, established in 1994. He is specialist in strategic planning, corporate finance and involved into the realization of a number of socially significant projects, like the Periodic SME rating ‘OPORA Barometer’ and Annual Russia Competitiveness Report – jointly with WEF & Sberbank.

He graduated at the Pavlodar Industrial Institute as engineer in 1984 and in 1988 studied at the Bauman’s Moscow State Technical University as post-graduate student. At the German Management School (1993, 1994, 1995, 2000) and at the Harvard Business School (2010) he took courses to upgrade his skills.

Besides the GFCC, Idrisov is a member of the multiagency commission for technological development, RF President’s Council on economy modernization and innovative development of Russia, of the Public Council under Federal Agency of state-owned property management, of the Expert Council for Open Government, of the General Council of Business Russia public organization and of the Public Council at RF Ministry of Regional development.

Idrisov was the leader of more than 200 successfully realized consulting projects, including the elaboration of development strategies for leading Russian & international corporations, which involves the GK Rostechnologii (aviation industry 2025-development strategy) and the RF space industry development concept. He also led the strategy elaboration for regional & national development, including the Kazakhstan Republic development strategy and the Tomsk Oblast development strategy.

In addition, from 1989 to 1993 he was General Director at Innovations Center under USSR Science Academy and from 1998 to 2002 he held the position of 1st President at Russian Investment & Finance Analysts’ Guild and acted as RF representative in EFFAS & CIIA.

At the end of 2010, Idrisov was the representative during Russia’s entering into the Global Federation of Competitiveness Councils, and participated in preparing a report for RF President Dmitry Medvedev in the frames of the Open Government Project.
